Basically tortured this kid earlier by making him sit through Harrison’s swim class. He wanted to get in the pool SO BAD 😭😭 we walked around a lot but he kept trying to dive in 😬

After striking out every day for two weeks I randomly snagged a makeup class for swim for Harrison for the class he missed Sunday (and by every day for two weeks I mean checking every day two weeks out, not trying every day). Apparently trying to get a makeup class is not easy! But it’s for this afternoon 🙃 so now I’m going to get him from school, run by the place to pickup the cake, bring it home, pray he’s feeling cooperative enough to immediately change clothes and leave again. Then come back home and have him finish the last minute decorating he wanted to help with and frantically make dinner before Trent gets home at 6:30. It’s fine 🥴

What a rollercoaster

This was a bigger roller coaster for me because I’m a dumbass, because at first I thought it said he was taught “how to change a lightbulb using a drill and saw” and was like how the FUCK does that work, then I thought the kid was 8 months old and was even more confused 😂

Some fantastic news, as far as I’m concerned, which is that we have been reading Dragons Love Tacos quite a bit, and Harrison requested “a taco just like that with no meat.” I made it for him and he picked it up and poked at it. He didn’t eat any, but to me the fact that he even asked for it and interacted with it is AMAZING. He put it back down and said “I don’t think I’m ready yet.” And we said that’s okay bud! It’s cool that we made it right? And he said yes. And he ate the whole rest of the plate which lately is more than he’s been eating for dinner.

tagged ♥ we typically offer very small portions of new foods per basically EVERY professionals recommendation but he asked for a TACO like the pictures in the book so I went for it with this he does separately eat tomatoes tortilla chips lettuce and sometimes cheese so I bet we can get there one day with a taco hold the meat

I got Elliot to color today finally!!! About once a week I get the paper and markers (have also tried egg crayons, but unfortunately his throwing is SO bad I had to pull them because he beamed me in the face a few times and gave me a bloody lip 😭). I just color on the paper and then help him hold it and show him the paper. Usually he has ZERO interest but today he colored with the pink, blue and yellow!!

If I described the last 28 or so hours it would sound made up. I am losing my grip yall.

The drive home from Charlotte was long and terrible - stopped traffic, screaming kids the entire way, a stopover in a parking lot to stretch their legs which I think actually just made everything worse.

We rushed home and busted ass to get the necessities unpacked (cooler etc) and Harrison changed for swim, which involved a huge tantrum of him saying he didn’t want to go, which has never happened. Then he came around so we went after all, only to get there and find that someone had marked him absent last week for this week (Trent and I both claim we didn’t do it but I assume one of us did because of the Charlotte trip and just forgot). Came home to discover that Apollo had peed on the giant stack of medical paperwork I collected between the neurologist, feeding clinic, and speech last week, which was on top of my laptop aka he peed on my laptop?! Harrison gashed his arm on a nail sticking out from one of our fucking broken kitchen cabinets. Today has been hell. Elliot suddenly seems super fucking sick, and in the middle of dinner he vomited everywhere, a lot. So we got him all cleaned up, sanitized the high chair and floor and table, got him into a bath, never finished our dinner.

OH and at target today when Harrison tried to go pee the toilet seat was COVERED in pee which he got all over his hands and tried to panic wipe on himself before I snatched him and basically pinned his hands and helped him waddle to the sink, where he said “I CANT HOLD IT” and started peeing on the floor while washing his hands. I-

tagged ♥ I cleaned the floor as best I could and told an employee I’m not a monster but anyway I’m fucking tired

Never finished my asterisk on my last post 🤦🏼‍♀️

*insert long tirade here about how easy it used to be to send a PayPal invoice and then ship directly from there, but due to various things (primarily people wanting to avoid paying or filing taxes for BST stuff so they want to pay friends & family and it’s a whole thing now), BST etiquette and rules has gone down the drain so I’m chasing people down multiple ways who keep flip flopping on whether they want items or not and matching their address to their Facebook claims to their PayPal name to what they ACTUALLY ended up paying for and it takes forever. I hate it.

Phew. Finished organizing the invoices and making shipping labels* last night, then got up early this morning and got most of the packages packed while Trent took Harrison to school. Played outside for 40 minutes with Elliot, then took him running errands during snack time. Managed to hit the post office to drop off the packages that were done, two stops to pick up Trent’s birthday gift (two different sizes of the same shoe I had to go to two different stores). Made lunch, played with Elliot some more, got him down for lunch, packed the rest of the packages, did a grocery store instacart order, two target orders for the rest of the groceries and birthday stuff, made the order for the birthday cake, meal planned for the week, and started folding laundry before the instacart order arrived and put it all away. All before 1pm.

Depending on what time Elliot wakes up, I’ll either pick up Harrison or go to the post office first, then vice versa, then pickup the target orders plus go inside one target to get birthday cards because I somehow totally forgot them, then play with the kids, and make tacos for dinner, then make a new sales post for everything that didn’t sell, then make a plan for getting everything done tomorrow (Harrison’s kindergarten assessment is tomorrow morning, then drop him off at school, then Elliot has audiology evaluation which I’m still annoyed about because his hearing is fine, Elliot won’t nap because the stupid audiology appointment is during his naptime, pick up the cake, pick up Harrison, let the boys help me decorate the house, make a special but thankfully easy birthday dinner for Trent, celebrate, then bedtime lol).
